Prismax Brings Worlds to Life Inside the Sphere: The Visual Journey of UNITY

Client: Tomorrowland

When Tomorrowland joined forces with Insomniac for UNITY at the groundbreaking Sphere in Las Vegas, they set out to create an experience unlike any other – a seamless fusion of music, storytelling, and technology inside the world’s most advanced entertainment venue.

At the heart of this visionary project, Prismax took on the challenge of designing and producing the breathtaking Tomorrowland worlds that unfolded across the Sphere’s colossal 16K x 16K LED canvas – transforming its curved surface into an infinite universe of imagination.

For UNITY, Prismax was entrusted with visualizing and producing the Tomorrowland chapters within the show – reimagining the festival’s legendary realms Planaxis, Adscendo, and Orbyz for one of the most technically advanced canvases ever created.

Each environment was crafted to be fully immersive, enveloping the audience from every direction. The 180° visuals were designed to seamlessly merge sound, light, and motion – blurring the line between physical and digital reality.

From the serene underwater depths of Planaxis to the ethereal floating citadels of Adscendo, every moment was rendered with cinematic precision, motion depth, and a dynamic sense of scale.

“Our goal was to make every visual moment feel alive – to give the audience the sense of stepping inside the Tomorrowland universe itself,” says Joris Corthout, CEO of Prismax.

Designing visuals for the Sphere required a completely new production approach. The venue’s massive 180° LED surface, the largest and highest-resolution display in the world, demanded millimeter-accurate content mapping and an entirely custom workflow.

To meet these technical demands, Prismax developed a dedicated content pipeline, capable of designing, rendering, and delivering ultra-high-resolution visuals natively for the Sphere’s geometry.

The visuals were carefully synchronized to the musical structure of UNITY, including the orchestral performances by The Symphony of Unity, ensuring that each world evolved harmoniously with the score – guiding the audience through waves of emotion and spectacle.

The result was a series of Tomorrowland worlds reimagined for the next generation of entertainment – a sensory experience where sound, motion, and storytelling converge.

UNITY at the Sphere marks a milestone not only for Tomorrowland but also for Prismax, representing the studio’s ongoing commitment to pushing the limits of immersive visuals, real-time content creation, and large-scale digital art direction.

“The Sphere pushes every creative boundary – it challenges you to rethink how visuals interact with sound, space, and emotion,” explains Joris. “It’s not just projection – it’s world-building on a monumental scale.”
