Prismax Powers Tomorrowland’s First-Ever Indoor Show in China
Client: Tomorrowland
In November 2025, Tomorrowland made history with its first-ever indoor music show and debut in China: ‘The Magic of Tomorrowland’ at the HERO DOME in Shanghai.
For this milestone production, we at Prismax were responsible for the creation and live operation of all on-screen visual content. Across more than 1,000 m² of LED surfaces, we translated Tomorrowland’s storytelling into a fully immersive, music-driven visual experience.
At the heart of the mainstage operation: xLive , our proprietary real-time control system.

The HERO DOME, a 100m x 120m indoor structure, housed two visually ambitious stages.
Paperworld Stage (Mainstage)
- 374 m² LED video wall
- 1,032 moving lights
- 20 lasers
- 45-meter catwalk
Butterfly Stage
- ~700 m² LED video wall
- 15 custom 2m x 1.6m LED butterflies
- Extensive lighting and laser integration
Across both stages, more than 1,000 m² of LED display space became our digital canvas. Every visual element was custom-designed and mapped to the exact geometry, resolution, and architectural structure of the stages.

The Paperworld Mainstage was fully controlled via xLive, our in-house developed real-time performance system, engineered by our technical team.
With xLive, we don’t simply “play visuals”, we perform them.
This allowed us to:
- Operate visuals live in direct response to the music
- Adapt intensity, pacing, and atmosphere in real time
- Create seamless synergy between video, lighting atmosphere, and stage energy
- Maintain full creative flexibility throughout each set
By using xLive, we were able to blend music, atmosphere, stage design, and LED content into one cohesive experience, enhancing the emotional flow of the performance while keeping everything fluid and responsive.
The result was not a pre-rendered playback show, but a living, evolving visual layer that moved organically with the artists.

The event featured international and Belgian artists including Dimitri Vegas, Amelie Lens, Amber Broos, Andromedik, Henri PFR, Don Diablo, Apashe, and Chris Lorenzo, alongside unique international collaborations.
Each performance required a distinct visual language. Through xLive and our adaptable content ecosystem, we ensured the visuals didn’t just accompany the music, they elevated it.
Tomorrowland’s debut in China marks an important moment for global live entertainment, and for us as a creative visual partner operating at scale.
From concept development to real-time execution via xLive, we transformed more than 1,000 m² of LED into a dynamic storytelling engine inside the HERO DOME.
We are proud to have brought Tomorrowland’s magic to life in Shanghai and to continue pushing the boundaries of immersive, real-time visual performance worldwide.
