Bringing 1400SQM of LED screens alive
Client: Tecate Pal Norte
Background: Tecate Pal Norte is a popular music and arts festival held annually in Monterrey, Mexico. Known for its diverse lineup, the festival features a wide range of genres including rock, pop, indie, electronic, and Latin music. Tecate Pal Norte attracts both national and international artists, offering performances on multiple stages over several days. The festival also includes cultural activities, food vendors, and art installations, creating a vibrant and immersive experience for attendees. It’s one of the most significant music events in Mexico, drawing large crowds and providing a platform for both established and emerging artists. Tecate hosts one of the biggest screens in the world for their mainstage, a whopping 1400 SQM!
Challenge: Tecate Pal Norte enlisted Prismax to design the visuals for the main stage during the changeovers—those intervals when no bands are performing and the crowd awaits the next act. Our task was to keep the audience entertained with captivating visuals. Additionally, we were asked to create an appealing spectacle for this year’s centerpiece, located at the heart of the festival. The centerpiece was a sphere that splits into two halves, featuring a full 360-degree projection mapping, providing a mesmerizing and immersive visual experience.
Solution: Prismax aimed to push the boundaries of display technology to create a sense of depth, designing several captivating 3D worlds that held the crowd’s attention. To enhance audience engagement, we introduced an interactive experience where attendees could upload their photos to the Tecate Pal Norte website. These photos were then returned to us, enhanced with an AI filter. Prismax then showcased these creatively filtered images in an artistic collage, integrating them into the visual show and making the festival crowd an integral part of the experience.
Result: The result was a next level visual experience, once again wowing the crowds at Tecate Pal Norte. We are already looking forward to the 2025 edition of the festival!
