A dazzling fusion of technology and creativity at the grand Brighton
Client: VRT Studios & Ludovic Beun
VRT Studios, renowned for their innovative approach to visual media, teams up with the creative vision of Ludovic Beun to craft immersive and captivating experiences. Known for blending technology with artistry, they consistently push the boundaries of digital storytelling.
The task was to create a realistic 3D extension of two iconic spaces within The Grand Brighton hotel – the grandiose ballroom and the intricate stairwell. The goal was to maintain the authenticity of these spaces while infusing them with a surreal twist, enhancing the visual narrative of Novastar’s music video for “Look at You Now.”
The journey began with the Unreal Engine and the multifunctional capabilities of VRT’s studio. Our team meticulously modeled the ballroom and stairwell from scratch, developing a digital twin based on detailed reference photos. To bring the surreal element to life, we animated the walls, allowing them to converge and diverge in a mesmerizing dance. The staircase was transformed into a dynamic entity, twisting and turning in harmony with the music. The pinnacle of this surreal journey was the seamless integration of the sea into the ballroom, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.
The outcome is the visually stunning music video, released on January 18th, 2024, for Novastar’s song “Look at You Now.” This project is a testament to the power of digital innovation in elevating artistic expression. It showcases how technology and creativity can come together to create an unforgettable experience, leaving viewers awed by the seamless blend of the real and the surreal.
