About the Role
We are seeking a talented Real-Time VFX Artistto craft compelling, performant visual effects inside Unreal Engine. You’ll design particle systems, shaders, and dynamic effects that elevate shows across LED volumes, stages, and broadcast screens. This role bridges creativity with technical skill, ensuring effects run smoothly in high-pressure live environments.
Key responsibilities
- Create and optimize real-time VFX(particles, simulations, shaders, lighting) in Unreal Engine.
- Collaborate with artists, designers, and engineers to integrate VFX seamlessly into live productions.
- Work closely with show directors to match artistic intent under real-time performance constraints.
- Ensure effects are scalable, reliable, and optimized for large-scale events.
- Develop reusable VFX templates and toolkits for production teams.
Background & Skills
Qualifications
- Strong portfolio showcasing real-time VFXin Unreal Engine (Niagara, materials, shaders).
- Understanding of particle systems, dynamics, lighting, and rendering pipelines.
- Knowledge of shader development(HLSL, UE materials).
- Ability to balance visual quality with performance optimization.
- Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative production environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience with live event workflows, broadcast graphics, or LED volumes.
- Familiarity with Python, Blueprint scripting, or pipeline automation.
- Background in film, games, or virtual production.
Senior-Level Expectations
- Lead creative and technical direction of VFX for large-scale productions.
- Mentor junior artists, establishing best practices.
